Roles, processes and services are defined on the freshServce platform. Platform users can access the services appropriate for their role. Requests are assigned to internal or external providers who deliver results that work in the predefined context.
The freshService platform provides the means to initiate and track requests. CSDI process design ensures that requests are sent to the correct provider. Service templates ensure that both requestors and providers know what needs to be done and how the component plugs in to the deployment framework. The freshService platform simplifies the request process and ensures the provider will get all the information they need to complete their task. Process adoption is assured because using the system is so much easier than going around it.
Turnover is a killer. When knowledgeable staff leave, a lot of train an organizational knowledge leaves with them. Small companies need the same top tier technical talent required by large companies, but simple can't afford all of the technical specialists required in a sophisticated IT organization.
CSDI addresses this challenge head on. We maintain relationships with best technical talent in the industry and pay well. However, we engage these experts briefly on very specific tasks. Every deliverable is deployed into our operational framework and stored as an asset or configuration item in the technical asset inventory.
Our processes ensure knowledge transfer and preserve corporate insight. The results is tremendously efficiency. By defining work items in the context of our deployment framework, there is no question about what a component does or its role in the overall system. Problems are easy to isolate and there is no question who should address a problem or make an enhancement. If a former provider is not available to make a change, a new provider with the correct skills can make changes. The need only learn the requirement of one components and are not required to learn the entire system before they can be effective.
